Mark Tennant

Mark Tennant’s unique journey of helping kids and strengthening families began at age 11 when he was removed from an abusive home and became a foster child himself. Eventually, Mark was placed in the Christian foster home of Bill and Joan Mack. It was the Mack’s spiritual influence and their commitment to love Mark unconditionally that sparked his own faith.

Coming to understand there was a calling on his life, Mark earned a pastoral degree from Oral Roberts University. After graduation, he worked for several years in both church and child and family service administration until his calling became clear. In 1992, Mark founded Arrow Child & Family Ministries and served as its CEO through January 2014. Under his leadership, Arrow became a premier Christian ministry operating in multiple states and providing foster care, adoption, child sex trafficking recovery and a wide range of social services and specialized education to children and families at risk.

Mark continues his work as the Founder and President of ALL IN Family Ministries, where much of his focus and service is devoted to the education and mobilization of the local church to serve in the child welfare arena.

Mark lives in the Houston, Texas area with his wife, Kristy, and their three children.

The Gospel,
the Orphan, and Me

I looked into the mirror and what did I see
the reflection of an orphan who is much like me
a past of brokenness whose heart longs for more
to live in the present where one feels secure
walking in freedom with renewed eyes to see
a future of hope in Jesus will be
I am but this but now I see
there are many others just like me
So with all I have and with love so great
revealing beauty from brokenness they can no longer wait
I am their mirror and in this orphan they see
their hope in Jesus can be found in me
